My Background

Personal Profile

Brandon P. Miller is a PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Behavior Science at The University of Kansas with contributions to behavioral economics and behavior analysis. His interests focus on understanding contextual factors that influence drug use in the hope of informing treatment and public policy.

With two master's degrees in behavioral psychology, five years of clinical experience, and multiple published peer-reviewed journal articles, Brandon demonstrates strong analytical, quantitative, and collaborative skills. His research on cannabis has been funded by organizations such as the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis and featured in periodicals such as Inside Behavior Analysis. In addition to his academic duties, he also serves on multiple professional committees in both Division 28 and 50 of the American Psychological Association and serves as the Student Representative for the Society for the Quantitative Analysis of Behavior.

University of Kansas

I am working towards my Doctorate of Philosophy in Behavioral Psychology. Here I am receiving training in behavioral economics, addiction, and applied behavior analysis. Specifically, my training is focused on behavioral economic purchase tasks, EMA, and cannabis.

Eastern Michigan University

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Psychology. Here I received training in both applied behavioral analysis and clinical psychology. Specifically, my training focused on behavioral economic purchase tasks and neuropsychological assessment of various types of dementia and acquired brain injury.

Coe College

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Here I received training in the experimental analysis of behavior, behavioral pharmacology, and neuroscience. Specifically, my training focused on the pharmacology of addictive drugs and drug administration in pre-clinical models.
